Here are a few pictures from our Annual Classic Car Show and Family Day Out 2026.
On the Friday before the show we get an update from a company who have been attending our show for years, they informed us that due to illness they would not be able to attend. This meant we had no stalls selling sweet or savoury items. We then put an emergency post on Facebook asking for help. We were taken aback by how many people were able to assist at such short notice. There was a small team of committee and club members walking around the sports field in the pouring rain setting up the trade stall positions, setting out were the club cars will display and also setting up the boundaries. On Saturday morning we chose the first 2 people who responded on Facebook and they both agreed that they will turn up on Sunday with a great selection. Which they both did. We would like to thank both of them for their hard work to get things sorted out for the show. It didn’t stop there. Saturday 8pm the night before the show we were updated from the Funfair that due to illness they were also unable to attend. We were not able to find a replacement at short notice. This didn’t dampen the mood as we had the Island Band playing in centre square, then the Island All Stars for the second year with their fantastic performance, also a live band called Fiato playing in front of the sports club house. The weather held out for the Sunday and we received lots of positive feedback, as people were leaving saying they had a great day.
